Confronting Your Ego in the Light of Love
Janine, my child, come and let us seek the soft voice of Jesus where you ask the question of "character".
Character. Janine, is keeping your eyes on the Kingdom and trusting that Jesus will show you the way of character. Keeping your eyes on the kingdom does not mean not witnessing. Rather, it means witnessing through the lens of love and only love.
I give you the story of a man whom we see through the eyes of ego where this man boasts of knowing God and loving God, all the while spewing hatred against his brother. This man who is unaware of his ego is following the wrong path and must be turned around or else his character shall disintegrate into evil.
This is the story of mankind who is misguided. In misguidedness lurks the ego who wishes to be above God and own God. Ego must be exposed or it may become evil. Man must see his own ego for evil lurks in unawareness.
Character, Janine, is the awareness that you have misguidedness in your ego that often asks you to take a path that is against Jesus. Jesus says, "If you are not against me you are for me."
Character is where you make effort to follow Jesus where He shows you the truth. To follow Jesus is not to be of just words, but to be of effort to confront your own ego. You did that yesterday while walking with Jesus. You learned much about the beauty of confronting your ego in the light of love and only love.
